About Me

20201018_154858I am a qualified counsellor and a member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and Hampshire Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (HACP).

I am trained in the Humanistic and Transactional Analysis model of counselling which encourages you to address those aspects of your life which can be causing a block and I will offer this in a non-judgemental, supportive and caring environment. I hope that we can work together to establish a relationship of respect, trust and confidentiality in order to develop a good working relationship.

I have a particular interest in working with clients from 16 year of age, on an individual basis, dealing with a wide range of issues. The length of time clients work with me varies according to their needs which could be short term up to 12 weeks or long term which is open-ended.

Helping others to deliver their potential has been important to me. Prior to my change in career, I worked at a college with students between the ages 16-19 and I have over 25 years worked in a helping role. I have also previously worked for a local community based charity, supporting those in need.

My counselling qualifications include:

  • Working with Young People aged between 11 and 18 years of age.
  • The Foundation for Infant Loss Training.

Continuing Professional Development:

I make on-going regular commitment to my professional development. Recent workshops I have attended include:

  • Workshop on Neuroscience
  • Working with Dreams
  • Counselling Survivors of Domestic Abuse
  • Bereavement
  • Understanding Addiction
  • Creativity
  • Working with clients on the Autistic Spectrum
  • Supporting parents through pregnancy loss and the death of a baby
