I offer an initial meeting free of charge which lasts up to 30 Minutes, without obligation. During this time, you can get a feel for what counselling involves and how it may help you. It will also enable you to ask any questions you have to enable you to decide if counselling is for you and to explore if we are suited to working together.
I am a member of BACP and work within the Ethical Framework. As part of that framework, confidentiality is a key ethical principle, I will maintain confidentiality in accordance with the code and it’s exceptions such as, if I, the counsellor considers the client to be at risk to him/herself or to/from others.
Cancellation of an appointment with less than 48 hours notice or failure to show for the appointment will incur the full fee. Any missed sessions by you (client) must be paid for unless an alternative slot can be arranged within that week. Sessions cancelled by the counsellor (me) will not be charged for. Reasonable notice of any cancellations will be given by both client and counsellor.
Sessions are open-ended which means you decide when you wish to end the counselling. It is always beneficial to have a minimum of three sessions notice to enable us to work towards a ‘good’ ending.
